According to reports, the teens who have killed themselves were largely gay or perceived as gay, or bullying victims.

Thus far, Bachmann has kept very quiet about the whole situation, probably because she doesn't approve of the gay lifestyle in the first place, and doesn't "promote tolerance for gays and lesbians in the classroom."

Currently, the Justice Department and the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights are investigating schools in Bachmann's district over anti-gay bullying allegations.

We're glad to see that steps are being taken to stop this horrible trend in Michele Bachmann's school district. We can only hope that changes will be made ASAP, before we lose another teenager.

Yesterday was a very fun, very full day. Yesterday afternoon, after Sarah, David and I ran around taking care of a few errands, we met up with Mark and made our way to downtown Royal Oak, MI for lunch at my fave sushi restaurant in the world — Little Tree. After we supped until we were stuffed, we hung out for a bit on Main St. and did a big of shopping at Incognito. Yesterday evening, we got to hang out with Tracey and my goddaughter Zakiya who is growing into a brilliant young lady. Last night, Sarah hosted a small get together of friends … ’twas a very, very fun day.

These are just some of the photos that I took with Princess Zakiya. It’s insane to me how much she grows every time I see her. The girl can already read and write better than David! That’s my girl. After Z had to run off to a sleep over, the real party got underway. Reggie, Tara, Agnes, Mike G., Sherri and her son Kyle came over to hang out … which meant we hovered around the dinner table eating, talking and sharing embarrassing stories. The party may not have been one of our usual ragers but it was a lot of fun. It’s always so nice to come home to Detroit and reconnect with my loved ones here. I seriously know the best people in the world … and I love them all :)

This afternoon, David and I are taking my parents out for Father’s Day Brunch before we return home to SoCal later tonight. My Detroit trips are always so short but they are always very, very fun. I hope all y’all are having a GREAT FATHER’S DAY today!!! Happy Sunday!!

After missing the show on Broadway, David and I were very excited to learn that the Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage was being performed here in LA with the original Broadway cast — Marcia Gay Harden, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Jeff Daniels. We waited for a performance where we could get really good tickets so that is why we waited until the show nearly ends its run to see it. The show ends performances here in LA this weekend … but we managed to get really good seats for our show. In short, we both loved God of Carnage very much … and we were very surprised at how the drama unfolded on stage ;)

I think it’s best that I not spoil the parts of the show that surprised us the most … but I will tell you that the play is very funny and not at all really dramatic. The acting was superb by all of the players and the story is simple on the surface but fairly complex underneath. I knew the basic premise of the play before seeing the show last night but I was NOT at all expecting it to turn out the way it did. There were parts of the show that were so riotously funny, I almost fell out of my chair. There was another part that almost had me running for cover (we were in the front row). God of Carnage is a fantastic play … one I heartily recommend wholeheartedly. If you get the chance to see it with the original Broadway cast, you MUST! I’m sorry I missed seeing it on Broadway but am very happy that I got to experience the same Broadway magic, with the same players, right here at home in LA.

To say we are deeply saddened today is an understatement. And what is hurting us even more is the response her untimely death is eliciting from a lot of people.

What we want more than anything is for people to know the Amy Winehouse that we knew.

She was clearly troubled, but there was not an ounce of evil in her body. She was not a bad person. She just surrounded herself with bad people.

Amy Winehouse was one of the sweetest people we have ever met, and it is such a tragedy that the world has lost such an incredible talent.

We remember all the times we spent with Amy and the thing she wanted more than anything else in this life was not fame and fortune but somebody to love her. That's a deep desire we had in common and would talk about a lot.

She dreamt of cooking for her man and starting a family. She'd share her favorite recipes and dream of simpler life.

Oh, and she loved music. A lot!

One time, we went with her to a record store, she asked an employee where the soul section was and then Amy proceeded to buy 10 random CDs at once. Well, Perez actually paid because her credit card didn't work! Ha

Amy also was such a thoughtful friend. One of our most cherished possessions is framed platinum plaque that she sent us for our birthday a couple of years back of her megahit album Back To Black, and inside she had signed the record with a "heart" Amy.

We will forever hold that close to our heart and we will always remember the good times we spent with her.

And, what we hope for more than anything is... even if people didn't get to know the real Amy Winehouse, like we did, and fall in love with her and her childlike innocence... we hope that what people remember the most is her catalogue of timeless songs.

That lives on! Forever!

As I was waiting for my medicine to kick in, I busted out my concert ticket album and box of concert memorabilia to reminisce about the amazing Prince shows I’ve seen over the years. I got one of Prince‘s picks at his concert at the Roosevelt Hotel back in 2007 and I’ve been collecting Prince tambourines since the mid-90s. I am happy to report that I’m feeling a bit better today so I will — hopefully — be in great shape for the concert tonight. I’ll need all my strength so I can bang the Hell out of my tambourine at the show tonight.

It’s gonna be a long night for me … after the Prince concert, I’m **hoping** to stay awake for the Royal Wedding. I’m gonna do my best to bear witness but … we’ll see. Happy Thursday, y’all!!

While their split was said to be amicable, we've just learned that it was actually Kyle Howard's decision to end thing with Lauren Conrad. Reportedly, Kyle took issue with LC's reality show fame, fearing it would conflict with his big career plans. A source explains:

"He saw the relationship as distracting from his goal of being the next Robert De Niro. He wasn't supportive of her career."
